How Savo Pricing Works — The Consumption Model
Transparent, usage-based pricing in minutes with no hidden fees
Savo doesn't charge a subscription fee or a per-seat license. Instead, you load a prepaid USD balance and draw from it as your campaigns run. The unit of value is minutes of Signal Session conversation your participants complete.
The Core Formula
Every Signal Session campaign reserves funds using a single formula: Participants × Target Session Minutes × $0.50/min = Reserved Amount.
The target session length is set in the Signal Event design and reflects the intended duration of each conversation. When you create a campaign, Savo uses that target together with your participant count to calculate your reserved amount.
For example, 50 participants at a 20-minute target session works out to 50 × 20 × $0.50 = $500 reserved.
The Reserved Amount Is a Ceiling
The reserved amount is not an estimate with potential overages — it is the maximum you can be charged for that campaign. You will never pay more, regardless of how individual sessions run. If participants complete sessions faster than the target duration, your actual spend is less. Costs are capped; overages don't exist.
This makes campaign costs fully predictable before you launch. You know the maximum before a single invitation goes out.
The Prepaid Balance Model
You add funds to your account in advance, then spend them as campaigns run. There's no invoice cycle or credit period — campaigns draw from your available balance as sessions complete. On your billing page you'll see your Wallet balance (the funds in your account) and the amount Reserved (campaigns) — funds held by campaigns that are currently running or scheduled. Reserved funds are committed when you launch a campaign and released as the campaign completes.
What About Event Studio?
Every Savo account includes a credit to create one custom Signal Event in Event Studio at no cost, with three free test sessions included. Additional custom events cost $10 each. Event Studio is not billed in minutes — it uses a per-event credit model separate from the Signal Session consumption model.
No Subscriptions, No Seats, No Surprises
There's no monthly or annual subscription and no per-user licensing. You pay only for the consumption your campaigns generate, and you always know the maximum before you commit. Load what you need, run campaigns, and top up when your balance runs low.
See Estimating Your Costs for examples at different campaign scales, and Adding Funds to Your Account for how to load your balance.
