Estimating Your Costs

Use the formula to model your expected costs before signing up or launching

Before you load your first balance or launch your first campaign, you can model exactly what Savo will cost. The formula uses three inputs you already know: how many participants you're inviting, how long each session should run, and the per-minute rate.

The Formula

Participants × Target Session Minutes × $0.50/min = Campaign Cost.

The result is your reserved amount — the maximum you'll be charged for that campaign. If sessions run shorter than the target, your actual cost is lower. You'll never be charged more than the reserved amount.

Cost Examples

A few worked examples, all at $0.50/min:

  • 10 participants × 15 min = $75
  • 25 participants × 20 min = $250
  • 50 participants × 20 min = $500
  • 100 participants × 25 min = $1,250
  • 200 participants × 20 min = $2,000
  • 500 participants × 25 min = $6,250

These are reserved amounts — your ceilings. Actual spend depends on how many participants complete sessions and how long those sessions run.

What Affects Your Cost

Participant count — only participants who complete a session consume minutes. Participants who are invited but don't respond, or who opt out, aren't billed.

Target session length — set in the Signal Event design. A 15-minute event costs less than a 25-minute event at the same participant count. Consider how much depth you need when choosing an event.

Number of campaigns — each campaign reserves its own funds separately. Two campaigns of 50 participants each cost the same as one campaign of 100.

Event Studio Costs

Event Studio is not billed in minutes. Every account includes a credit for one custom Signal Event at no cost, with three free test sessions included. Additional custom events cost $10 each. Event Studio costs don't affect your prepaid balance for Signal Session campaigns.

Starting Small

If you're estimating costs for a new use case, start with a small pilot. A 10–15 participant test run gives you real completion rates, session durations, and quality signal before you scale. Savo's prepaid model means you only spend what you load.
