Currently leading Applied Science at Savo, he develops the robust machine learning systems that power our AI-native platform. Throughout his career directing product and data science at dynamic organizations like Modern Hire, Yobs, Byteboard, and the Association of American Medical Colleges, Derek has consistently translated complex behavioral science into scalable commercial enterprise technology. His innovative approach to workforce solutions has earned prestigious industry recognition, including the IPAC Innovations in Assessment Award and multiple SHRM Business Impact Awards. Holding a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Derek bridges the gap between academic rigor and practical application, with published research in the Journal of Business and Psychology and Academic Medicine, alongside a forthcoming SIOP book chapter on AI and MLOps.
