Signal Event Library — Understanding Domain Categories and Filters

How events are organized in the library — and how to find what you need

The Signal Event Library organizes events into domain categories. Knowing what each category covers — and how to navigate across them — helps you find the right event quickly, whether you're picking an Ready-to-Use event or browsing your own custom library.

The Two Types of Events in the Library

Ready-to-Use events are provided by Savo. At launch, a small set of reference events is available — covering core domains and demonstrating what well-designed Signal Events look like. Use them as starting points, as-is in campaigns, or as benchmarks when evaluating your own designs.

Custom events are the events your team builds in Event Studio. As your library grows, custom events become the primary content — organized alongside the Ready-to-Use events so everything is accessible in one place.

Domain Categories

Customer Research about customers and the customer experience: satisfaction, loyalty, churn indicators, relationship health, voice-of-customer. Use these events when you need to understand customers' actual experience, not just survey-level ratings.

Workforce & Talent Employee listening, engagement, team dynamics, talent assessment, and workforce pulse. Use these events to understand what employees are actually experiencing — not what engagement scores alone reveal.

Revenue, Market & Growth Competitive intelligence, sales effectiveness, territory sensing, win/loss, market positioning. Use these events to understand the market and competitive landscape from the people closest to it.

Operations Process efficiency, service delivery quality, operational barriers and friction. Use these events when you need to understand how work actually happens — where it flows well and where it breaks down.

Product & Design Product feedback, user experience research, feature validation, design evaluation. Use these events for qualitative research about product direction and user needs.

Public Policy & Politics Civic engagement, constituent experience, public opinion, and policy feedback. Use these events for listening programs in public-facing contexts.

Public Sector & Healthcare Healthcare intake, patient experience, public services delivery, and government program assessment. Use these events when participant populations are in public service or healthcare contexts.

Safety, Risk & Trust Safety culture, incident investigation, compliance culture, risk awareness. Use these events when you need to understand how safety or risk is actually experienced in practice — beyond what audits and incident reports show.

Customer-Specific Events built specifically for your organization — custom events your team has created across any domain. Use this filter to see only your organization's own events, without the Ready-to-Use event library. As your team builds more events in Event Studio, this becomes your primary working view.

Foundational Savo's core reference events — Tell Us Your Story (Profile & Characterize, workforce dynamics) and Territory Pulse (Explore & Discover, competitive intelligence). These are the most fully developed Ready-to-Use events and the best starting points for new Savo users.

Other / Uncategorized Custom events that span multiple domains or don't fit neatly into a single category. If you build an event for a cross-functional research goal, it may land here.

Navigating the Library

Filter tabs at the top of the library let you view events by domain category. Click any category to see only events in that domain.

Search by event name or slug. Combine search with a domain filter to narrow quickly — for example, filter to Workforce & Talent and search for ""engagement"" to see relevant events.

Event cards show the event name, a brief description, domain, and whether the event is Ready-to-Use or custom. Click any card to open a full preview showing dimensions and facilitation guides.

Choosing Ready-to-Use vs. Building Your Own

Use an Ready-to-Use event when you're new to Savo and want to see the format in action, when a reference event fits your research goal closely, or when you want a benchmark to compare against your own designs.

Build a custom event in Event Studio when your research question is specific to your organization, when the Ready-to-Use events don't cover your domain, or when you need precise control over dimensions and facilitation language. See Designing a Custom Signal Event in Event Studio to get started.
