Frequently Asked Questions — Before You Sign Up

Quick answers to the most common questions from people evaluating Savo

What is Savo?

Savo is an AI-facilitated interview platform. It conducts structured voice conversations with your stakeholders — employees, customers, prospects, research participants, or any group whose perspective matters — and transforms what they say into scored, evidence-backed insights.

Where a survey gives you checkbox answers, Savo gives you the reasoning behind the answer. Where a focus group gives you a room of opinions, Savo gives you individual voices at scale, analyzed and organized into findings you can act on.

How is this different from a survey?

Surveys are good at collecting responses at scale, but they can only find what you thought to ask for. They can't probe. They can't follow a thread. And a rating on a scale doesn't tell you why someone chose that number.

Signal Sessions combine the depth of an in-depth interview with the scale of a survey. The AI facilitates an adaptive, structured conversation with each participant individually — probing, following threads, drawing out specific examples — and produces scored outputs comparable across everyone you spoke with.

The short version: surveys measure what you already know to ask about. Signal Sessions surface what you didn't know to ask.

What does a Signal Session feel like for participants?

Most participants describe it as surprisingly natural. They click a link, allow microphone access, and start a conversation with an AI that asks open questions and genuinely follows up on what they say. It's not a test. There are no right or wrong answers. The AI's job is to understand — not to evaluate.

Sessions typically take 15–30 minutes. See What is a Signal Session? for a full walkthrough of the participant experience.

How much does it cost?

Savo uses consumption-based pricing. Signal Sessions are billed in minutes: Participants × Target Session Length × $0.50 per minute.

A campaign with 50 participants targeting 20-minute sessions costs a maximum of $500. That's a ceiling — if sessions complete in less time, or some participants don't complete, the unused portion returns to your prepaid balance.

See How Savo Pricing Works for a full breakdown and examples at different scales.

Do I need to be technical to use Savo?

No. The campaign creation wizard walks you through setup in a series of steps — name your campaign, select a Signal Event, add participants, set a schedule, and launch. The Signal Event Library has ready-to-use events for common use cases.

If you want to design a custom interview for a specific research goal, that's done in Event Studio, which is designed for people with research and business domain expertise — not developers.

Are there any feature limitations based on plan?

No. Savo includes all platform features with every account — Signal Sessions, Event Studio, the full Insights report, API access, and more. Access isn't gated by tier. Billing is based on usage, not plan level.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Savo's architecture is designed to separate participant identity from participant responses. Names and personal identifiers are stored separately from transcripts and scores — analysis happens against pseudonymized data, so your team sees patterns and scored insights, not who said what.

Savo is actively working toward GDPR compliance, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 27001 certification. See How Savo Protects Your Data for details.

How fast can I get started?

Once your account is provisioned and funded, you can create and launch your first campaign in about 10 minutes. There's no implementation project or onboarding delay. See Setting Up Your Account — First Steps for the day-one checklist.

Does Savo support SSO?

SSO is coming to Savo in a future release and will be available to all customers. See Setting Up Single Sign-On for what to expect.
