Exporting Campaign Data
Download a campaign's transcripts and insights as CSV and JSON
Who can export
Exporting is an account admin capability. It requires the export permission on your role, and it covers only campaigns your own account ran. If you do not see the button described below, ask your account admin.
Where to find it
The export lives on the report, not on the campaign page.
- In the main navigation, open Reports and find your campaign, or open the campaign under Campaigns and click View report in the green banner at the top.
- At the top right of the report, next to the red Download PDF button, click Export data.
- The export downloads as one file.
The campaign's Participants page has its own Download links (CSV) button. That file holds each participant's invitation link for sending through another channel and contains no session data; the export described here is the one with transcripts and scores.
What the export contains
The session transcripts, and the insights behind the report: scores, concepts and findings. Each is included as a CSV file, and the same data is included once more as JSON. Participants appear under the same pseudonyms as in the report.
When an export is refused
A report exists only once at least 5 participants have completed, so an export is normally available whenever a report is. A cohort can shrink after the report was produced, for example when sessions are excluded from insights. If the eligible cohort has dropped below the participant minimum, the export is refused rather than partially served, and the message names the cohort size and the floor. This is the same confidentiality rule that governs the report itself: a cohort too small to protect an individual is too small to export.
Handling exported data
The export contains what participants said, in full. Treat it under the same data-handling rules as the report and your organization's retention policy.
