Campaign Status Reference
Every status explained — what it means and what action (if any) you need to take
Every Savo campaign has a status that tells you exactly where it is in its lifecycle — from initial setup through scoring and reporting. This reference covers all nine campaign statuses, what each one means, and whether it requires action from you.
Note: The ""AT RISK"" warning that can appear on an active campaign is not a status — it's an alert shown when completion pace is behind schedule. See Monitoring Campaign Progress and Completion Rates for more on AT RISK.
Quick Reference
Status Details
DRAFT
A campaign is in DRAFT when it has been created and saved but not yet launched. No invitations have been sent and no sessions have run. You can edit everything — the selected event, the participant list, the schedule, and the campaign name.
A DRAFT campaign has no expiration. It stays in draft until you choose to launch it or delete it.
SCHEDULED
A campaign is SCHEDULED when it has been launched but the start date is set for a future date. The campaign is confirmed and reserved — no invitations have gone out yet. When the start date arrives, the campaign will transition to LAUNCHING automatically.
SCHEDULED differs from DRAFT: a DRAFT campaign has not been launched and can be freely edited; a SCHEDULED campaign has been committed and is waiting to go live.
LAUNCHING
LAUNCHING is a brief transitional state that occurs when the campaign's start date is reached. Savo is dispatching invitations and opening the campaign to participants. No action is needed — the campaign moves to ACTIVE automatically.
ACTIVE
A campaign is ACTIVE when it has been launched, the start date has been reached, and the campaign window is open. Invitations are going to participants, sessions are running, and the campaign dashboard is showing live progress.
An ACTIVE campaign continues running until the end date passes, or you manually pause, complete, or cancel it.
PAUSED
You can manually pause an ACTIVE campaign at any time. While paused, no new invitations are sent, but any sessions already in progress continue to completion — participants mid-session are not interrupted.
Resume the campaign from the campaign detail page when you're ready to continue.
COMPLETING
COMPLETING means the campaign window has closed (the end date passed or you manually triggered completion) and the AI scoring pipeline is now processing the results. No action is required — this is a transitional status.
Scoring runs automatically. When it finishes, the campaign moves to COMPLETED and the report becomes available in the Reports section.
Minimum sessions for scoring: The scoring pipeline requires a minimum of 3 completed sessions to run. If fewer than 3 sessions completed before the campaign closed, a scored report cannot be generated.
Report generation tracking: While the campaign is in COMPLETING status, Savo tracks the report generation process separately. If report generation encounters an error, you will see an alert in the campaign detail page. Contact support with your campaign ID if this occurs.
COMPLETED
COMPLETED means scoring finished successfully and your campaign report is ready. Navigate to Reports (in the main navigation) and find your campaign to access the full results.
A campaign must have at least 3 completed sessions for the scoring pipeline to produce a report.
CANCELLED
A cancelled campaign was stopped before completing its normal lifecycle. Cancellation is permanent and cannot be undone. Partial session data may be available — contact support if you need access to data from sessions that completed before cancellation.
ARCHIVED
Completed campaigns can be moved to ARCHIVED status. An archived campaign's report remains accessible; the campaign is simply moved out of the active campaign list to reduce clutter.
